'GP Champions Project' publishes 'Toolkit for General Practice' to improve services for young people
The GP Champions project, a collaboration between the charities Association for Young People's Health, Youth Access and the Royal College of General Practitioners' Adolescent Health Group, has published a new 'Toolkit for General Practice' to help primary care improve their services for young people.
Funded by the Department of Health, the three-year project has highlighted some of the problems faced by young people in primary care, including difficulties with accessing services and making best use of GP services.
The toolkit contains advice and recommendations on what GP practices can do to improve young people's health, as well as examples of innovative ways of improving access to care for young people. It also has tips on working together with the voluntary sector for the benefit of young people.
